YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley has launched a teaser for his latest video venture, named MixBit.
Mentioning to YouTube's April Fools' day prank, Hurley tweeted: "Since YouTube is ending, we are starting a brand new video site... Thanks for visiting MixBit!"
MixBit was initially introduced by Hurley?at South by Southwest, though he did not dive in to the more knowledge about exactly what the service would offer. "If only South by Southwest would be a month later since i could unveil the brand new product," he stated at the begining of March, based on AdWeek.
Despite the unveiling from the domain and teaser, Hurley continues to be reluctant to discuss the core of MixBit. He's revealed that it intends to be "a platform more appropriate for collaboration". He added it wouldn't compete directly with YouTube.?
Given Hurley's comments at South by Southwest, the work sounds fairly near to starting.?
Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim offered YouTube in 2006 to Google for $1.65 billion. Hurley held the function of Boss at the organization until 2010, until he walked lower being an consultant and most probably focus on MixBit.
Hurley's video/social expertise causes us to be excited for which MixBit might be. We'll carefully watch.
